With the University of Limerick just outside of the city centre, Limerick is buzzing with people but whereas it is difficult to escape the crowds and noise in Dublin, calmness and quiet can be found quite easily in Limerick.
Sunday is a special day for you to finish off your week on a high note.

The Limerick Milk market is one of the loveliest ways I can think of to spend a few hours. You can grab something tasty for breakfast or lunch, or if you're not hungry you could even just walk around and soak up the fun atmosphere. Chat to some of the friendly, smiling vendors running the stalls and you are sure to find out some interesting facts about food or Limerick in general.

| The People's Park |
The People's Park is located in the heart of Limerick city and is a lovely place to relax or study your English. It is the only park in Ireland which has been awarded with the Green Flag which means it has met the standards of being a completely eco-friendly park.
Located inside the park is the Limerick City Gallery of Art which is free. So, if you are interested in Contemporary Art or maybe just bored one day, why not have a look and grab a coffee. (It's for free after all!)

If contemporary art is not your cup of tea (not what you like) and you prefer the likes of Picasso and Renoir, then why not visit the Hunt Museum which contains art dating from the Neolithic age to the 20th century. Regular admission is €5 and students can enter for just €3.50 but on a Sunday admission is free!!
The Hunt Cafe overlooks the River Shannon and offers a delicious selection of freshly baked sweet treats, sandwiches or a Carvery lunch (Traditional Irish meal of beef, potatoes, veg and gravy) which is sure to bring you warmth and satisfaction on a cold, winter day. It doesn't need to be a cold day tot try the pulled pork sandwich(shown below), there is no excuse needed. It is just absolutely delicious.
